The GMC Yukon has earned the admiration of drivers across the U.S. for its passenger-friendly comfort and hearty performance. To enhance its appeal, GMC has fully redesigned their spacious SUV, so let’s see what the reimagined 2021 Yukon can do for you.

A New Generation

The Yukon underwent a total redesign to arrive in 2021 with a host of fresh features and upgrades. GMC has expanded the SUV with a larger frame, increasing its cabin space for passengers and cargo. The Yukon has also received a new independent rear suspension to make the ride delightfully smooth for everyone in the cabin. The Yukon is now available with several brawny engine choices, and GMC has introduced the rugged new AT4 trim for off-roading fun with all-terrain tires, skid plates, and other tools.

Passenger Comfort

Up to eight people can ride in the family-friendly Yukon, with three plush rows of supportive yet cushioned seating. The expanded cabin promises an unprecedented level of passenger space, and everyone will have all the legroom they need to relax for as long as the trip takes. You can also fasten car seats in the middle row with full LATCH connection sets in each spot. In addition to the ample interior space, the cabin sports a fine fit and finish, and you can explore the Yukon’s trim range for interior upgrades like the Denali model’s hand-stitched leather and wood-accented dashboard. For stowing your cargo, the Yukon has more than 35 cubic feet of space behind the back row. Whenever you need to fit cumbersome items like furniture in the SUV, you can fold the second and third rows for 144.7 cubic feet.

Performance and Power

The Yukon’s ride is smoother than ever thanks to the new independent rear suspension, which is the first of its kind in a three-row sport utility vehicle. Steering and handling are wonderfully compliant, and the SUV remains balanced and composed at any speed. Under the hood, you’ll find a 355-horsepower V8 engine, while GMC now offers a 420-horsepower V8 as well as a 277-horsepower turbodiesel. When you fully equip the Yukon for towing, it can pull up to 8,400 pounds. If you enjoy leaving the streets behind for the trails, you can opt for the new AT4 trim to head out for off-roading adventure.
